Murphy takes Top British Netminder

Belfast forward Craig Peacock received the best young player accolade after an impressive debut season at Elite League level in which he has posted 45 points (26 goals and 19 assists) in 62 games.
Peacock, who helped Peterborough Phantoms to the EPL treble last season, said: “It surprised me to get the number of goals I scored after the move up. I was just hoping to get some ice time here in Belfast and perhaps get on the powerplay squad and things just started going really well.
“I got to play with some great players and the goals just started coming from whichever line I played on. I just hope I can gain access to the GB squad now after Steve Thornton and Todd Kelman gave me my chance in Belfast.”

British duo retain trophies
Stephen Murphy (Belfast) was named the best British netminder for the second successive year after posting a league-high eight shut-outs while Jonathan Weaver, who helped Coventry to their fourth title triumph in seven years, was voted the best defenceman for the fifth season in a row.
